The state-of-the-art 1 million pound investment facility provides vocational education/apprenticeship programmes for 14-19 year olds using new technology and flexible modes of delivery. The SkillCentre embracing our aspirations to improve our quality provision as well as adult and community learning programmes. We have developed partnerships with a number of suppliers and employers to furnish the centre with the latest equipment and materials.
The 37,000sqm facility provides a combination of practical workshops across all occupational areas covering the latest technology and real working environments, training rooms with virtual learning environments, there are designated trade training rooms for bespoke training programmes IT facilities to cover all elements of IT training, staff administration areas, and a joint canteen area.
