Qualification overview

A new and exciting partnership has been formed to provide innovative, flexible, work-based-learning programmes to up skill and inspire new or current employees. This unique learning initiative offers a Leadership & Management programme that has been developed by the University of Bolton, Manchester College, Bury College, Wigan and Leigh College and Skills Solutions with the support of Greater Manchester Lifelong Learning Network.

Who should do this course?

Any manager or supervisor who wants to develop their leadership and management skills. The programme is specifically designed to equip employees with skills and knowledge to progress in their careers, and is appropriate for those who:

  • wish to update their skills to help them in a current job role and with career progression
  • are in supervisory or junior managerial positions
  • have gained an apprenticeship and wish to develop their career further

  • need to develop their managerial skills

What will I do on this course?

Study subjects through a blended learning approach, using both in the learning and tutorial sessions.

What qualification will I get?

  • Certificate in Communications at Work (10 credits)

  • Certificate in Reflective Practice in the Workplace (10 credits)

How long will it take?

Learning is flexible - you can work at your own pace. Applications are taken at any time! Unlike a traditional university or college course the starting and completion dates are in your control - all the courses are available on a roll-on, roll-off basis, so that busy managers can fit their studies around their work priorities.

Where will I study?

The course is delivered via distance learning - you will study at home and in the workplace.
