Learning and Development NVQ Level 3

Who should do this course?

The Learning & Development NVQ level 3 (L&D3) is suitable for those whose work role encompasses the full training and learning cycle. It is for trainers who are responsible for the identification of learning needs, negotiating and reviewing the learning process with learners, lesson planning and evaluation, programme design and delivery and using a range of training and learning techniques.

What will I do on this course?

You will complete mandatory units listed below, plus optional units:

  • Evaluate and develop own practice
  • Identify individual learning aims and programmes
  • Agree learning programmes with learners
  • Develop training sessions
  • Create a climate that promotes learning
  • Monitor and review progress with learners
  • Respond to changes in learning and development

Trainers undertaking this award must deliver both group and one-to-one training and should be prepared to evaluate and make changes to their current practice. Candidates will also undertake a research project and must be willing to develop their own skills and practices. The trainer's own personal development and action planning is key to this qualification.

All assessment takes place in your working environment where a Skills Solutions assessor will visit you.

What opportunities are available once I finish the course?

Progression to NVQ Level 4, Foundation Degree Level or Teacher Training.
