Step into Higher Education
Step into HE is a qualification to give individuals a taster of the skills required at higher education level. Step In to HE aims to buold confidence through a process of personal development planning and development of academic skills.
Who should do this course?
Individuals who have previously completed an Advanced Apprenticeship (AA) or are about to complete their AA in any occupational sector.
What will I do on this course?
You will receive an introduction to skills required in HE study. individuals are given the skills to produce a personal development log and a portfolio of GPD evidence which they collect each week at class. Skills covered:

What qualification will I get?
Certificate of Continuous Professional Development in academic skills
How long will it take?
Induction plus 7 sessions ona weekly basis, along with an individual feedback session on completion of the programme

At Skills Solutions in Manchester city centre
What opportunities are available once I finish the course?
Foundation degree in appropriate occupational curriculum area
