Apprenticeship in Team Leading

Who should do this course? 

The Team Leading Apprenticeship is designed to provide a progression route for people wishing to pursue a career within management.

What will I do on this course?

You will complete mandatory units (Manage your own resources, Provide leadership for your team, Develop productive working relationships and Ensure your own action reduces risks to health and safety) plus optional units, and learn about your rights and responsibilities in the workplace. The Management Standards Centre (MSC) provides an ERR workbook for apprentices, and a completed and signed page from the ERR workbook is required as evidence for completion certification.

Key Skills:

  • Communication level 2
  • Application of Number level 1
  • Exemptions apply if GCSE Maths and English grade C or above achieved in the last 5 years, or Key Skills already achieved.

Enhancements:

The Technical Certificate is the ILM Level 2 Award in Team Leading.

How long will it take? 

Up to 9 months

Where will I study? 

The NVQ element will be assessed in your place of work whereas the Technical Certificate element of the framework is delivered off the job via day release. You will attend training sessions at Skills Solutions premises, for a total of 24 hours, with an additional two to five hours tutorial support per learner.
