What sort of work is involved?
The work involves plenty of customer contact, offering a personal customer service to clients whilst offering a high level of technical expertise.
What training is involved?
On the job training is an important aspect of the Hairdressing training programme. In the workplace, training will be given by working alongside an experienced qualified worker who will support and advise on working practice. Training is also undertaken, in the form of day release, to a college/training centre for underpinning knowledge and additional practical experience.

A-G GCSE grades and Level 2 Hair Certificate. If candidate has no formal qualification in hair, an initial assessment and sufficient prior experience within the industry is required. This will be conducted at interview at Skills Solutions Academy Manchester city centre |
Level 3 - progression to Level 4 Management, Higher National Certificate/Diploma (HNC/D) Hairdressing & Salon Management, Foundation Degree, BSC (Honours) Hairdressing Science & Retail Distribution |
