Financial Services Apprenticeships
What sort of work is involved?
This sector is split into financial sub-sectors made up of: General Insurance, Long Term (Life) Insurance, Retail Banking, Investment Banking & Providing Financial Advice.
General duties will vary according to the apprenticeship but you will be based in an office environment or in a retail outlet if you choose Retail Banking.
The Financial Services industry is a really exciting and diverse sector and provides lots of opportunities to develop your skills in your chosen career.
What training is involved?
You will complete an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Providing Financial Services or a Level 3 BTEC Award in Providing Finance Advice, alongside a professional qualification that reflects the sub-sector you are working in such as:-
Certificate in Insurance, Certificate in Financial Planning, Investment Administration Qualification, Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, Certificate in Financial Advice or a relevant Customer Service Award.
Key Skills include Communication and Application of Number.
Apprenticeships require AON level 1 and Comm level 2; Advanced Apprenticeships require AON level 2, Comm level 2
